So any guess as to how many of these model D's out there yet to be discovered in somebody's barn way out yonder? If I could talk some farmer out of one for a couple thousand...

There are 20 known Model D's, plus about 6-8 spare V-8 engines arounds, but I bet there are a few more left to be discovered that are just sitting in long time storage in the back garage of a Chevy dealer somewhere? This type of owner doesn't tend to belong to the VCCA or any national club - so these cars are harder to track down.

Of course there is the rumor I hear every year at a the Portland Swapmeet of a Model D out in the Oregon bush - who knows?

The Portland Swap Meet is held at the very north end of the city, by the Columbia River at the Expo Center. Sorry, but I don't know the exit number.

Take exit 306B. Park as soon as you find a spot. The busses will run continuously during the meet. Bus is free.
