Tom, Since they haven't made a D-5 in over 80 years that is quite a wish. No recent stories of one walled up in the basement of an old warehouse so a new one does not look good. Now a new to you one is a possibility. May all your wishes come true and those for old Chevy lovers around the world. Merry Christmas and have a Happy and Healthful New Year.
How Sweet the roar of a Chevy four!

Chipper, maybe Tom meant a new D-5 Caterpiller?? I could use one of those, myself, with a loader bucket to clean out my shop!

Hey Macky, If I can keep all I clean out. Merry Christmas, <img border="0" alt=" " title="" src="graemlins/gift.bmp" /> Dan.
Together we can do anything. The impossible just takes longer.

Well, I got some neat stuff but, alas, no V8. I figure Santa got it, started playing with it and is having so much fun tooling around the North Pole that he's gonna make me wait another year. In the meantime, I've still got the restoration of my '24 to keep me busy.

A friend of mine stopped at an antique store in Colorado last year and paid $500 for the front half of a 1917 frame. Included cowl, V-8 engine, transmission, steering, and radiator. He thought it would make a nice speedster. He has enough projects to last until doomsday, and unfortunately, he gets to work on his projects after he works on his customers cars. I wish he would let me talk him out of it, but my wife would kill me anyway. LOL! Steve
