The "S 7150" means that the car was built in the St. Louis factory and that it was the 7,150th 5-passenger sedan built in that factory in 1927.

Interstingly, there are no holes in the fire wall of my car where any kind of an ID tag would have gone. I've searched it thoroughly and cannot locate any small holes to fit that description at all. I wonder why that would be?

rbl2 - Your cowl might be 1925, which had no tag. Do you have a horn hole and no I did not misspell that.

No horn holes. I mounted the horn on top of the rocker arm cover.

Your ID tag would have been on the floor, in front of the passengers seat. What is the body style of YOUR car? Describe the engine and post all numbers you can find on it.

You didn't tell us you only had a tag. Or maybe that is all the info you wanted.

That was all the info I wanted.

I have a (titled)26 Roadster that is made of up several years. 26 fenders with a 27 body and a 28 engine. It came with none of the ID tags. I cannot find any numbers on/under the seat but I guess it's possible they may be covered in material, although I doubt it. The engine number is also the serial number on the title.

Gary Wallace gave me that tag just so I would have something to hang on the fire wall. He also sold me a serial number plate that is blank. Eventually I'll get around to putting the serial number from the title on that plate.

Although that was all the info I wanted feel free to offer me some input and educate me further.

Thanks.

Cheers

Car No. 2K75210 likely would have been a late 1925 Superior K built after the beginning of the 1926 selling season in the US. This car likely started out as an unassembled chassic made up of components and parts shipped out of the Tarrytown plant to John McGraft, the NSW distributer, who had an Chevrolet assembly plant on Glenmore Road, Rushcutters Bay. This is where the chassis were put together and then the Holden's Body mounted, with the complete Chevrolet ready for sale in NSW.
