Has anyone noticed that Gary's website isn't working anymore. I never wrote down his email or phone # so I can't ask him about it. Anyone know what happened?

I think it's down because of the bad storms they had there a few weeks back. For awhile I could not get him by phone or email.

Some time back I reported to this group that Gary's Web Site had been set up my a fellow VCCA/Chat member, gratis, as a friendly gesture for Gary. Gary admits to not being personally capable of setting up and maintaining a Web Site. When I spoke with Gary in Hershey last fall, he mentioned that the gentleman who had set up and maintained his Web Site was in poor health and currently not able to keep the site updated. It is my suspicion that for these reasons Gary has shut the site down.

Anyone have any information on Herb's condition?

I am sorry to say that Herb Jackson (moderator and friend to me) passed away on June 25, 2006. I sent a message to Bill Barker but received no response. Probably got missed due to all the activity surrounding the anniversary meet.

That was indeed some sad news, Herb had helped many of us get started in the Chevrolet four cylinder chase, with advice and of course setting up the online catalog for Gary Wallace.

RustyFender,

I'm sorry to hear that sad news and thank you for posting to my question. Herb has been missed here of late and will be missed in the future.

I'm sorry to hear about Herb. For some reason I didn't get the email with this info. Yes, it was just as we were leaving for Colorado. But maybe it was related to the 400+ emails a day that I receive.... Arghhhhhh!!!!!

I hope that someone else steps up to help Gary with his online presence. We need to help keep costs down for those who are supporting the hobby.

I haven't posted in here for awhile. I never knew Herb personally but through emails, he was very helpful and nice to me. I'm sad to here of his passing.

I have a little experience with websites. I'll contact Gary.

Good deal Tom, Some of us are rather spoiled by being able to go to Gary's site and then emailing in an order and paying by credit card.
