Is thetere a web site where a person can find the history of where a vehicle was orginally registered?

No such website that I know of. Besides most states now only keep 5-10 years of title records on vehicles that are not registered (yearly plates). It makes tracing virtually impossible even if you know the original selling state.

Boot up the Florida state DMV web site and check out what is possible. Florida use to do this years ago but I think with the new rules on keeping things private it was dropped or changed a lot, however nothing ventured nothing gained. DMV records here Good luck.

I did the DMV trace on my 28. I was able to get back to the 60's. But then the paper trail ended. If you contact the state DMV where the car came from, they will be able to help you with the records. There are a few privacy regulations to get through, but it is possible.
