Hi psuchev,

Nice looking car and I'll bet you have a lot of fun with it.

Welcome to the forum.

Have you tried a 1927 carb on the engine? You appear to have a 1928 installed as pictured.

What is the object near the vacuum tank on the firewall. Is this a relay for an electric fuel pump?

You do not indicate in your profile that you are a member of the VCCA. If not, I would urge you to join us. If you need any help or questions, let us know.

Thanks!

Let me answer your questions in order. Yes, I have the RXO carb, sadly when I was cleaning it the stand pipe broke from the base, which from what I hear happens a lot, I think it might have already been broken, I didn't handle the carb roughly, or used force. However, we had two spare carbs, this one had a rebuild tag on it, and the other had broken pieces as well. When I get around to fixing this car up, I plan on getting the RXO rebuilt.

In fact those are relays for the headlights, I don't know why it has two, when you use the switch, the headlights come on both positions to the right, the parkinglights come on to the left, but no relay click.

The vacuum fuel pump seems to still be working very well (crosses fingers).

And no, I am not a member as of yet, I plan on being one soon, I have the form printed off.

Thanks!

OPPS!

I wanted to say I do have the sun visor for the car, it was removed before my grandfather bought the car. Sadly the brakets are missing and someone did a nastly welding job on the A pillars.
