My 25 oilpan is solid with a little corrosion. Mainly the corrosion is in the oil trays, can see a little daylight (pinholes)in the oil trays. I would like to "Red-Kote"(Damon) the entire pan to preserve it for the future. Will the "Red-Kote", although designed for fuel tanks, work in the oil pan. Not sure about temperature effects on the "Red-Kote". Otherwise, it seems like it would work. Any ideas or experience????

The area to be coated needs to be especially clean. Oil is easier to control than fuel, so your solution has merit. After coating, let it drain. Give it 2 to 3 days to cure. Holes of significant size can be closed with this material.

Thanks Ray, I had the oil pan "gently" sandblasted to clean it of all residue. Looks clean. No problem with time to cure. Holes in the oil trays are pin hole and hopefully should closed.
