Ray, I just got back and you are correct about the copper line. We are trying to contact some members of the family who owned the vehical first, both familes live in the Del Rio area so maybe we can get the prior history. This thing gets more interesting all the time....Jim

In Australia in the 20's we had hundreds of local body builders and you could order a Chev rolling chasis form GMA (General Motors Australia) to which you could fit your own body. If the front body section was required (radiator to dash) they were usually of the tourer style. We have many of these including a similar style to this one, but with tourer screen. Maybe Jim's was ordered this way from new Chris
