I think I hate you. I also hate your car and your garage. Please do not show any more pics of your garage.....if my wife ever saw how clean & neat it is, my life would become a living hell !!!! -Bob

It's just the opposite for me. I'm going to show this to my wife to justify why I need to spend more money and time on my garage and car. Outstanding set up, Don..!

It's a beautiful site!
Where did you find the tires with whitewalls inside and out? My 31 has the dual whitewalls but I can't find any to replace them. They are 20 years old. jp

Don, It's beautiful, and an inspiration for me to keep going. Mine is a '32 5-window coupe just like yours ( but the standard model) and I'm even using the same color sceme. The chrome is being done now and I plan to start the interior soon, then she'll be on the road. I hope it comes out half as nice as yours.

Hi 31 CHEVY. I bought my double side whitewall tires from LUCAS Tire In Long Beach California. Their phone number Is 310-595-6721. They are great, Except when you have to clean them. With the sidemount tires I now have six tires times both sides ----equals 12 whitewalls to clean, And yes It Is a challenge to clean the Inside whitewalls. It Is all worth the trouble because I think the whitewalls on both sides adds alot on the older cars. Thanks :) :) I almost forgot, These tires are firestone.

WOW! My garage will never look like that! I don't know what's nicer, the car or the garage. Man, you are an inspiration. Nice place for a 32 Spt Cpe to hang out. Just hope my car comes out as nice as your's. Never mind the garage. Only one question. Were's the Budwieser stored?

Hows about a game of checkers Donald? And where is the big toolbox and the grease gun and the jack and jack stands and the rag box, and the oil spots on the floor, the sand blaster and the welder and the air compressor and the.......If I came up with that garage, my wife would make me move over and she would move in a tea set. Looks good Donald.......

Hey fellas I guess we just got a glimpse of heaven. Don...Is this really your garage or did your wife leave you for spending so much time on the car that you gutted the house and this is the remake??? My wife is reading in bed and I just showed her the picture and she refuses to comment. I'm going to bring this picture into work tommorrow where the 2 secretaries keep siding with my wife about the old cars. Fantastic!!!

Yep. that's pretty neat, Don. :cool2: I'll have to get up to Seattle again and you'll have to show it to me in the flesh. Yep, I'm still around and it'll be 41 yrs. tomorrow since the little one and I got hitched so my time with you and Billy Boy wasn't too harmful. Hee Hee. Still have to learn to post pictures. jerrygolf

You're welcome back to Seattle anytime Jerrygolf!!! And I still have TWO daughters who aren't married yet... even after you... oh, forgot where I was... nevermind.
Donald's 32 looks good, but he has many, many problems with it. I think he needs a technology committee to help him with it!!
Anyway... how many Chevs were sold with double white walls on them? I'll bet.... oh... maybe.... None!!! Whatcha all think?

Looks great Donald!!! Fantastic!! But, you might have made one mistake. With all of the Model T dudes that have worked on your car, you should have had the Ford Oval on the floor instead of a Chevrolet Bow Tie. Ya! Hee Hee! That's a great garage, so don't ruin it by putting a Toyota in there too! I love the floor! The whole garage makes a great display for your car. Very nice job!!! :cool2: :cool2: :cool2: By the way, what does the fan blade fit that is hanging on the wall under the way cool Chevy clock?

I think the fan blade Is for a 32 truck, At least that Is what I was told. It was on the car when I bought It. One thing I would like to bring up now that I have posted a picture of my car and garage Is, That after all the great comments made, Dear MR Technology Committee chairman,When are we going to be able to post our car photos on the clubs web site? Surely this must be a worthwhile feature to offer to members. If the committee Is not working on this, Then what Is the next product? Yes, Ive looked at the committees web site, But all I see are policies, and other papers being produced. We need more results-Like this chat Site that was built for us. Please work on this, Because the response I recieved posting my picture, Is maybe just a beginning to a more successful chat site for all. I would also like to hear comments from other members about the Idea of posting their cars on the chat site. Thanks

Don, What a GREAT looking garage. Only thing I wonder about is do you drain all the fluids from the car before bringing it in . Because I have cardboard under my 32 to stop the floor from getting covered in oil.

Don, If my better half was to find out that I had time for 6 coats of wax on the garage floor I think her Honey Do list on the fridge would grow to an unmanagable amount. And if you note the time of this post I'm at work right now and she can't look over my shoulder to see whats up.But her comments on your garage were very favorable when I showed her the picture earlier in the day. :) :p

Don, The last time I had a garage that looked that good was when I was in the Army and had my Harley in the Barracks for cleaning on a rainy day. Nice job. Dan.

Thanks for all the comments. Myself, I have never been a mechanic who tears engines apart and has one of those garages that Is used to rebuild and repair engines and car related things. I wish I was talented like so many of our chat site members. Anyway I had always wanted to have a neat garage and finally I took my carport and turned It Into a garage and finally got It finished. One problem I have, Is that It Is a two car garage and guess what? Yes you are right, The wife has to have her non chevrolet car parked In my finished garage. That has given me some big tears to see that thing parked next to my second wife. Speaking about the second wife, I have been told a couple of times to go out and spend the night with her curled up In the rumble seat. Sometimes I think, Hey not a bad Idea. Anyway I think everyone has their own Ideas how they want their garage, And this Is how I finally got mine to be. Thanks for looking. :) :) :)

Donald, old chap you don't have to get grease under your nails to appreciate and own and use a beautiful Chevy, You are living proof (let me check your pulse)...Ok you are living proof.I have a friend a Ford collector that has a room in the front of his shop almost like your garage, and in the back half of the building there is several piles of parts, tools and other things, but the talkers always want to gather up in the room with the checkerboard floor, recessed lighting, keg cooler and Central heat & Air to do all the talking and maybe even spin a tale or two. Wonder why?
