Hi All
I had the opportunity to attend the greatest show of all this past weekend---Hershey. On Sat. I also had the opportunity to see a baby Grand owned by a gentleman from NY. What a beauty!! This car was minimally restored. It did have a valve cover which seemed to be stainless. It also had NO water pump. There was a one inch flat belt to run the fan. Since the wheeles/tires are not demountable, it had the air pump which was use to inflate a flat tire. It did have the chev emblem on this power take off pump. Noticed the "autolight" ingnition equipment which was believed to be prior to AC. I have no pics, (no camera) but I sure was impressed and this guy was willing to take the time to show and explain things to some of us. it was a great learning experience. On Wed i was lucky to find 4 AC "B" spark plugs without the "B" on the plug for my '28. Just wanted to share!!!! mromano

Pinkey was aware that the Baby Grand was there. Late Tuesday afternoon the Baby Grand was driven through the Red Field to Pinkey's Swap Space by its owner, where Pinkey and the driver had a lengthy conversation. The same vehicle was at last years Hershey event also.

Hey Guys I also spent some time looking at this car and getting some advice from him about my "Baby Grand". Dave and the car are featured in the November issue of Hemmings "Clasic Car". I am hoping that you will see my car at Hershey next year. It is currently getting new babbitts at Zigmont Billus's shop, featured in the October issue of "Classic Car". Look for me next year! John

Kozy31, I have a 21' that you can have for 3k. It is mostly complete, but needs a COMPLETE restoration. The motor is free and should fire. ps Hemmings publications has an article this past month on the guy with the Baby Grand- if in fact it's the 1914. His name is Bruce. Check out the article on he and his partner. I believe it's the classic auto mag.

The owner of the 1914 Baby Grand is Dave Wiltsey Waterford,N.Y. Dave and a friend Bruce Wright (in addition to the Baby Grand) have a 1917 Series 490. Both of these guys are very helpful with advice and explanations to other early Chevy enthusiasts. I too had the chance to meet and talk to Dave about his Chevy at Hershey on Saturday morning. What a wet day that was!!!!! I forgot to ask...is that (what appeared to be a stainless steel) valve cover original equipment? It's pictured on page 77 of the November 2005 issue of Hemmings Classic Car Magazine.
