I need help in aligning the left rear door on our 26 Landau 4-door. After a complete tear down I am replacing the doors. The left rear door is sagging about 1/4 inch. I have tried shims as suggested in the Chevrolet body repair manual. When I get the left rear door properly adjusted then the left front door sags about 1/4 inch. I tried every combination of shims I can think of but have not been succesful in getting both doors aligned. I would appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks , John

Hi,

You may have to resort to a wire and turnbuckle inside the door. Place the wire diagonally across the door, adjust and replace the inner panel. Do this to the rear door after the front door is properly adjusted.

You could also place some shims under the main sill, but this could open up a whole bag of worms.
