has anyone purchased an exhaust system from Kanter Auto Products? If so did it show the same issues reported in other threads.

I got mine from Kanter two years ago. Fit was fine. It was a little noisier than I expected, but apparently that is normal for the four cylinder. (Got to have that roar!)

I purchased from THE FILLING STATION. The only other one I've seen advertised was made by the same manufacture. In fact they are dropped shipped by the manufacture directly to you. There was no freight savings by combining the exhaust with other parts I ordered.
As I noted in a previous posting, it cost a lot of time trying to make it fit and ten money for the exhaust shop to cut it appart, bend, and reweld.
Yes they are a bit noisy.
I would compare manufactures not suppliers.

27capitol,

Would be interesting to know if Kanter sells from the same supplier as the other vendors.

My invoice shows the exhaust system from Kanter was shipped from WH2. I would guess that to mean Kanter's warehouse #2 but it is only a surmise on my part. The cost in 10/03 was $245, shipping $24.50. A current Kanter catalogue lists $325.00 for the price plus shipping. The Filling Station has the system listed for $185 plus shipping. It would be interesting to know if they are using the same supplier.

When you get your system, take a look at the "welds" around the heat stove and the take-off for the heat pipe. The poor quality on the ones sold by other than Kanter product is the big complaint.
