You guys are so dam spoiled that you get to wait for one to come along in the right colour. If you lived in Australia this would be classed as a great find as we usally start with less than the coupe on eBay. You should be encouraging people to restore their dream and then promoting a decent price that you could sell the car for after it is finished. Instead the old car movement lives in the past and we whinge about the high cost of restoration then tell the guy his cars only worth $10,000 after he has just spend $25,000 plus restoring the old car. All the time this is happening the Street Rod guys are getting good dollars for their cars when they are finished.

Spot on, Twin4!
The bucks that Hot Rods in Australia bring (usually between $40,000 to $70,000)and the ease at which they sell, never ceases to amaze me. The same vehicle fully restored usually struggles to sell at around $15,000 to $20,000.
Are we to blame for talking them down or is the market place making its own judgement?
By the way, I love restored cars as equally as Hot Rods, so I am always torn!
Tim.
