I'm building a 21 baby grand speedster. Would like to know if 32' chevy rims will bolt up? The 21's rim size is 23" and the 32's rim size is 18". If not, what wire wheels will bolt on? (maybe a model T?) Thanks. rdz69@aol.com

Buffalo and other aftermarket wheels might be found to replace the original wood wheels. Any replacement wheel will require both wheel and hub. Finding a bearing that will fit the front spindles and hubs might be a problem. It may be necessary to do some machining and welding to get the spindles to fit a more modern hub and wheel. The rear hubs will need to fit the taper of the axles.

Then there is the need for brakes. If the original brake system and drums are used then a means to attach the drums to the rear hubs will need to be made.

Not impossible but likely will need a good machinist to make work.

Thanks! Much more work than I realized. Guess I'll just stay with the original wheels.

I am putting a set of 25 inch Houk wire wheels together for our 1922 Royal Mail Roadster, and it sure is involving a lot of time, and it is not cheep. Chip is right, and you are right for wanting to stay with the wheels that came with the car. Good luck with your car.
