28chevrdstr, I am glad to see that you came over here. Please list the items that you may want to sell. Welcome to the VCCA Chatter site.
We are always looking for good 4 cylinder parts as long as they are reasonably priced and in restorble condition.
please list them in: Parts for Sale forum and leave your asking price and a phone number or email address for the best response.
We will also try to answer your questions about 4 cylinder stuff too.

I have so much of it under stuff in storage, but I really want to get it out when the rain stops to see what's there. I loaded it all up with my brother-in-law and the seller so that I only had a short time to check it out....and unloaded it almost as fast into the storage. I know I got heads, cranks, dists...etc. I am hoping that the parts can help fund the build of the car some. I need a Hemi...392 or 354 first choices! Anybody got one? :-)

That hemi need was like a fingernail jerked off down to the quick. I had a nice hemi from a 54 chrysler in my dad's barn back in the 70s for safe keeping and he sold it to a junk dealer so he could store some old bed springs and other junk in it's place! Taught me a lesson about leaving my stuff somewhere.

Hi 28chvyrdstr, First, let me welcome you to the Chevy Chat. I'm not sure this is where you want to be, but will reserve my comments. The part that bothers me is your handle (28chvyrdstr) which leads me to believe you are building along the lines of 1928, however when I look at your pictures as you suggested I get a different feeling. For example, you have a 1927 commercial shell. The manifold on the 1928 head is a homemade down draft type that appears from the picture to be water heated. The base engine does appear to be mostly 1928. Very interesting routing of the plug wires. Haven't seen that one before. You have 'juice' brakes and possibly an early front axle and later model steering column and wheel. Part of the picture of the back looks like the arrangement for a coupe or roadster, however the bottom part does not fit with that theory. Perhaps before you start selling parts you should let us in on what you wish to accomplish. If you plan to build a somewhat correct roadster you have come to the correct forum. With the start you have the end product is not readily apparent.

Welcome 28chvyrdstr! Let me jump in and say something here. Many chevy restorers will be interested in the parts that you have for sale. thanks for offering them here. This site is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of Chevrolets and does not encourage the modification of them. It is your car to build as you see fit, so enjoy your new project and please continue to come here to ask questions, seek advice and to offer your extra parts! By doing that your car will be on the road quicker and parts you no longer need will help someone else get their pride and joy back on the road for all Chevrolet lovers to enjoy
I am going to grow up someday!

Tom32, I think you don't need to worry about being all grown up. You did a good job of welcomeing 28Road?ster to the site!...And like you said it is his car....
Maybe we can even encourage him to look in the direction of a restoration, he does have a better start than I did when I first wanted a roaring four, all I had was a limited amount of old car frogskins and a great big throbbing desire, along with all the resources of VCCA and this site, which is no small part of my successful quest.

Thanks for the posts. I have not really looked at this site much - I was referred. I honestly am not a purist and would really only consider restoring a car that is mostly there. If someone here feels that this car is a better start for a resto than most then I would be willing to sell it all for the sake of preservation. I love automobiles and have no true favorite. I can drive a F*** Must*** fastback, a 70 Do*** Challen*** or a 57 BelAir all with the same pride if I sweat over them. I also would not buy a car if I wanted parts and it was close to resto quality - it is a waste. I like stuff that is good for parts or already been thrown together from a mix. I am actually talking to someone about a trade now and if someone here wants or know who wants to tackle this one as a resto then I am for it and will sell everything I got ... or trade. I am looking to enjoy myself and the final product and have respect for those who want it "as it was."
Thanks - and pls let me know if there is interest in this car or you need more pics/info.

Hi James, Your desire takes president over any comments here. My comments were for the purpose of checking your direction and to give you a feel for what way the wind blows on this forum. Regardless of your direction, feel free to return here at any time and you will be accepted as a fellow hobbyists.

No pics of that part. If I knew what it looked like I might could fabricate it.
I can tall you that it's at least 2 pieces, maybe 3, but that's all I know. Probably about 1/4" in diameter, straight and a total length of 3-4'
