The Australians, and perhaps New Zealanders, were adept at the conversion of cars to tractors. Also conversion to powering stationery devices for saw, etc.

I have seen 4 cylinder and flathead V/8 F0rds and Chevrolet 4 and six cylinder" Power Units", and old trucks and cars cut up into many things, sawmills, carnival rides, water pumps, well service machines all over the U.S. of A. I worked on an oil well cable tool rig (we called it a spudder) that was powered by a Model "T" F0RD engine and transmission, it even had a big irish potato stuck in the radiator for a radiator cap, which gave a new meaning to the name "Spudder".

There was a Chev 4 tractor advertised on ebay a while ago, I think I downloaded a photo.
Also speaking of intuative Aussie's, I'll send over a photo of a Chev 2 cyl. engine. I won't say more as the photo will tell all
Ray, can I email you the photos for posting?
Chris

Sure, send them on down. I just recently observed a Model "T" 2 cylinder engine. Will be exciting to see a Chevy 2 cylinder now.

Gang, we are lucky. Chris from down under has provided a picture of a 1928 Chevrolet tractor. The photo was on ebay and I remember seeing it myself. I have seen more instructions on the 1928 tractors, but can't remember where it was.

[Linked Image from home.comcast.net]

Chris advised that he is still looking for the picture of the 2-cylinder engine. Can't hardly wait.

Thanks Chris,

Agrin
