Need some more opinions on what the fellow has. It has the Fisher Body Tag, so we assume it is a Job #6730 (2 Pass Coupe). However, we see the remains of a folding top. I have identified it as a 1926 closed car with a 1927 shell, and with the top cut off and a folding top added. Perhaps they had seen the 1928 Convertible Sports Cabriolet and was trying to make one. I should add that this car is in Argentina.

Ray It would be nice to see some other views, but, at this point I totaly agree with you. 26 closed car with top cut off and 27 radiator shell. That shell does look like it is hanging over the cross member a lot also. Gaby

Hi guys, I don't think the car has a longer hood as the spacing between the tie bar and shell appears to be normal. I have several more pictures of the car, however I don't want to use my web space to post them. I am satisfied that my first opinion is correct. The owner has been notified and is sad about the purchase. The lesson here is to ask BEFORE YOU PURCHASE so you are not blind sided with a bombshell. If you are not comfortable in evaluating a car it would be money well spent to employ someone to advise you or bring your problem to this forum for help.
