I need to find the springs for the rear service brakes for my 28 sedan. Betsy has a broken spring and the adjusting spring that goes through the sping is missing. Does anyone know of a source?

I assume you are talking about the adjusting screw at the very rear of the band, where the spring clip with the keyhole locks the band tension adjusting screw? Call Gary Wallace (email chev4cyl@charter.net )in Saint Louis Mo. He sells the clips probably the adjusting screw and spring. I had the same problem and made a new screw from a bolt of the correct size and thread, cut the head off to proper length then ground flat places on the side and it worked fine. He has an online catalog but you order by e-mail or phone, Gary takes major credit cards,over the phone, and here is his web site address:
