Hi, I'm a newbie on this site. My father is coming over here for a visit from Australia. He has restored a 1925 Chevy Superior K back in Oz, he's had it now for approx 29 years. He has asked me if I can help him locate a replacement carburetor for his beast. I'm not sure if the current carb is completley toast or if it just needs rebuild, but he was asking for another one. Any suggestions on where I might find such a thing?

Tell your Dad that we still have carby's that would fit his Chev here in Australia and that there is a Veteran & Vintage Chevrolet Assocation of Australia and no doubt there would be guys over here that can help him. If he would like any more information just drop me an email.
There is also a run called the CHEV 4 TOUR (just for 4 cyl Chevs) and its held each year in September in different parts of Australia.
These guys drive thier Chev 4's thousands of miles every year and have some great ideas on how to keep them running smoothly.
Regards TWIN 4

I am leaving tomorrow to take that 14.5 hour Qantas flight from LAX to SYD to attend this great Chev 4 Tour and also the pre Tour next week to the Bay to Birdwood Rally in Adelaide, S.A. I also planned to check out the progress that has been made on the two 1918 Twin Fours that are under restoration in Oz land. KenK

Can anyone tell me where the Chev 4 tour is being held in Oz this year? BTW, We went on a lovely 30 mile drive last weekend to a local spring fair. Beautiful weather and the car ran like a clock! My ten and five year olds loved it. Spring is here, YIPPEE! Another show next weekend, however the car will be trailered to that one. Four hundred miles is a bit much even for this little black duck when he has to be back at work monday morning seven o'clock sharpish and the show is on the Sunday. Tim.

Hi Tim
This years Australian CHEV 4 TOUR is being held in Barham NSW which is on the Murray river and Victorian boarder. There is a group on Chev 4 owners driving thier cars from Sydney via Victoria to Adeliade, South Australia and take in the Bay to Birdwood rally which is the biggest one day rally in Austaralia and has 1500 plus pre 1945 cars. After this run we travel back to the Chev 4 Tour for a week on touring and then back home. Two weeks on the road which is more than 2000 plus miles and not a trailer in site. Twin4

Hi Guys
We are back 2331 miles later we got home. Lots of sun shine lots of country to see and a wonderful time was had by all. Six Chev 4's went on the trip that did the 2300 plus miles a 1925 Touring, 1927 Touring and Coach ,2 x 1928 Touring and a 1928 one ton TRUCK. At the CHEV 4 TOUR in Barham there were 25 Chev 4's on tour. A detailed report will appear in the G & D at a later date.
