Anybody know of a source for the distributor drive housing for a  '23 Chevy Superior? The pot metal housing on mine is turning to dust!

To the best of my knowledge, it is not being made. Even the 24/25 end plate is in short supply. Perhaps if we holler loud enough they may start making the early plate.

Try Bruce Wright (518-692-9328) or Dave Wiltsey (518-371-5536) "Splash and Splatter Chevy's" . I think they know about distributors and might be able to help you.

A distributor is not the problem. The distributor on a 1923 is mounted on the end of the generator housing. This end plate is "pot-metal" and is prone to disintegrate. The end plate is what everyone needs.

I've been looking for this part for several years.
Beginning to think that I'm gonna have to get a chunk of aluminium and start machining a new one while there's still enough of mine left to measure.

This is a badly needed part. Contact Gary Wallace and the Filling Station. With enough interest we may get them to recast the early end plate as they have the 24/25.
