I have just taken the body, side aprons and 4 disk wheels to the paint shop. The best information I have at present is the the correct color for a 1926 Superior K 4-door Landau is "Alpine Green" below the windows, hood and disk wheels with everything else  black. I need to advise the paint shop how to identify Alpine green. Also we are planning to use a base coat and clear coat instead of the original laquor and enamel combination. Is this a good idea?

I can't help with a match for Alpine Green. mad
I would guess that the Base/ Clear would probably last longer than the Laquer/ Enamel combo. used originally.
Good luck.
Dan.

Together we can do anything. The impossible just takes longer.

There's a beautifully restored '26 landau sedan on permanent display in the showroom of Newton Chevrolet in downtown Chattanooga, TN.

"A Tip from Carl Pearson: 292 Green can be obtained through Krylon, paint #2013, known as GM Alpine Green or Detroit Diesel Green."

From Robert Hensel's web site

Hope it helps...
