Hi All

Some time ago I asked for info on the correct Battery for my 28. I received info via this forum that the owners manual lists three battery companies that supplied the battery for the 28 chev.
Willard Storage Battery Co.
Electric Storage Battery Co.
United States Light and Heat Corp

I found some other interesting info..... On page 21 of the Chev Service News Vo.l3 No.24 there is a picture of a Delco batery and the following sentence is in the paragraph...." Genunine Chevrolet Batteries, built by Delco-Remy Corporation, a Division of General Motors, are now carried in stock at all Chev Zone Warehouses....

The words 'are now carried in stock at warehouses' leads me to believe that they were NOT available before the date of this article, April 1929. More support that a Delco battery was not delivered with a 28 or prior year car.

Just my $.02

Well, I use the highest amperage output 6 volt battery that will fit into the battery box and the one with the treminals correctly placed The (+) terminal to the inside front when mounted, same battery fits my 51 and 53 also.... I find what I need at Tractor Supply Company for less than $30 and figure on replaceing it about every three years.
