I was told this was Chevrolet, I have no idea the year, of if it is even Chev. Can anyone help? I want to get it to someone wh can make use of it, but it is difficult to list it without knowing the year!

I have a 1927 Chevrolet and checked to see if the gauge was the same as mine. The shape and general layout of the gauge is the same as mine, however the face plate is somewhat different. My Chevy is Canadian built and that could make a difference, but I would say that it is from a Chevy but not a '27.

I would have to check the #'s but it looks just like the 3 or 4 that I have for my 29. Nice condition.

It looks nice Kirk, but what's with the oil pressure guage? The numbers are missing and there is that brass looking strip instead. The 28 ( And I guess the 27 ) is similar but with black letters on a white background.

No numbers on the OPG, but the "brass" is just a reflection of the light in the room, it is all black paint. So, most likely it is from a 29'?

If I post them for sale, how much might I ask?

Thanks

My answer may throw everyone in a tailspin, but I recall seeing this same item at a swap meet and although it had the right oval shape for a 26 or 27 dash (those years I am always in the market for) that particular gauge was aftermarket and sold in the Whitneys catalog in the 50's and 60's. I recall the item because at the time I saw it the vendor and I both commented that the oil gauge had no numbers!!!I just don't think it is original stock.
