In 1928 Chevrolet had two vehicles with a rumble seat. From the introduction of the 1928 to approximately mid year they had a Sports Cabriolet which looked like a convertible but had a fixed top.

At midyear they introduced the Convertible Sports Cabriolet which was the first true convertible by Chevrolet. Body color was red. The instructions on how to lower the top are on page 26 of the April 1928 CSN.

Both of these vehicles had a rumble seat. The capacity for both vehicles is listed as 2-4.

I think there's a message here that if your 4 cyl 28 did not come with a rumble seat, forget it. My 28 Roadster appeared to have been converted to a rumble seat at some time and must have been a real abortion.
It's not hard to hide the evidence; however, if you replace the wood and sheet metal and fix the damaged rain gutters.
