I just want to welcome chevguroo #281 and ozjim #283. Jim owns four 1928's and Chris really is called the "28guru" down under. I hope to see lots of good answers and comments, just don't ask them which seat you put the steering wheel in front of.

Another Aussie signing on. My experience with early Chevies could be printed on the back of a postage stamp. I recently purchased a '28(At least I was told its a '28)basket case with a view to restoring/rebuilding it as used by a typical farmer, with wooden C cab and tray (there is no body left behind the cowl). I guess my knowledge of early chevies is about to get a massive boost! My partly restored Chev has disc wheels but rear brakes only. Am I right to think it is a '28?

Welcome Tim and Naomi,
We've already had several from NSW but I believe you must be the first to register from Western Australia. I believe the early 28 Trucks ,Type LO, had rear brakes only but the later ones in the US recieved front brakes with the LP. Perhaps our Truck TA ChevyChip can provide other clues.
