Does anyone know of any existing Model T Trucks in the club? I'd sure like to see one at an upcoming event.

Bill Oester also owned a 1919 Model “T” truck and that vehicle is also at Schurman’s Iron Ranch. (For you uninitiated, the Model “T” was not a F*** product, but was a designation of Chevrolet’s first truck).

This Sampson Iron Horse is currently the property of the Schurman’s Iron Ranch of Ridgefield, WA. The Iron Horse was previously owned by Bill Oester (VCCA 05290) of Scappoose, OR. It is my understanding that the Iron Horse is a 1919 model and not 1924. A FB Chevrolet engine powers it. Further, I understand that only three of these Iron Horses remain. Supposedly, they were recalled and destroyed, as they were uncontrollable. I think a rumor still exists that a barge load of these sank in Lake Superior during a storm.
Ridgefield, WA is about 10 miles north of Portland, OR. Or 8 miles north of Vancouver, WA.

I was excited to see a Chevrolet Model "T" in a parade here in Northwest Ohio a few years ago. This same truck was sold last year and I beleive it went up to Washington. Dad went to the auction, but it went for more than we wanted to spend.

I also got to see the northern Michigan truck a few years ago. It is fairly complete, but needs a full restoration. It would be a fun project!
