Former VCCA President, the late Doug Bell, said the following in his book "Early Chevrolet History"
"The body styles offered at the time of announcement were the same as in 1926 plus the new Sport Cabriolet. This was a non-convertible, soft top sport coupe with a rumble seat - the first in the low priced field. The first color for the Cabriolet was Royal Oak Green, which was quite similar to the turquoise used on Chevrolets in the mid-50's. A tan top and tan leather upholstery made this a very sport car in it's day."
