I'm trying to restore a 1926 Touring Car. Can anyone tell me if a Ford Model T or Model A top bow or irons might work and if so, which one would fit better? I've located someone to stream the wood so I just need to know about the irons at this point. I've giving up on looking for a Chevy irons and bows and can't locate anyone to make me any! Can anyone help? chevy

You can also order Amish made steam bent oak bows and much more hardware from Kim Dawson at

Antique Auto Top Hardware Company
26228 Sand Canyon Road
Canyon Country, CA 91351
661-251-3059

Also I just had my 28 Roadster top irons rebuilt and new laminated oak bows made by

John Boorinakis
545 Dairy Rd.
Auburn, CA 95603
530-885-4956

And I would say the results were excellent.

If you get really stuck, all late Chev 4 hood irons are available in reproduction here in Aus. They are a good and authentic reproduction

That is good news. Do you have any estimate as to the price for say a 1928 Touring? Any estimate as to shipping costs to the US West Coast?

I'll try and track the guy down, I gave all the right gear to kick his business off (Chev gear that is) and I still see him at the major Aust. swap meets.
Maybe Andrew McFarlane can help, as the guy comes from Canberra
