Can someone please tell me the correct layout of the 1928 headlight rim.

From he tfront, I have the rim edge, a 1.5mm rubber gasket, the glass, a 1.5mm cork gasket and the locking ring.

This all worked fine with the old rims I used but I have been trying to install a set of repro rims and they don't seem to provide enough room for all these layers (ie the lock ring doesn't get up to its groove on the headlamps). The repros measure slightly shallower than the old ones.

Any suggestons please?

I have seeen several -28 head light, but never
seen a 1,5 mm ruber gasket between the rim and the glass. Try without the rubber gasket.
