This coupe is for sale on ebay, please take a look at the OIL, WATER & GAS containers, mounted on the running board, are they from that era? Have any of you seen these before?

MrMack,

Yes, they are from that era. Aftermarket item, not Chevrolet. I see similar units from time to time at swap meets. Always thought I'd like to have a set, but reluctant to drill holes in my running boards.

The car looks good, but I can tell you from experience that looks can be deceiving. The Landau Irons are installed on the wrong sides and they are chromed. They were originnally painted black. Interior was originally a green corduroy I believe. That interior would be good in a '27 Coupe. Definately has the wrong gas cap and what is that horn doing on the right side of the engine compartment, not to mention it isn't a '28 horn.

How about that chrome exhaust extension and the side mirror?

I just LOVE the engine paint color, I had a friend that had a '48 Merc coupe that shade of Pee Green!

Does it bother anyone else to see pictures made with the door and deck lid slightly ajar?....Makes my skin crawl...... SHUT THE DARN DOORS BEFORE YOU TAKE THE PICTURE!

The door and the deck lid may not be ajar. That could be the way they fit for what ever reason.

The decklid on my 28 definitely fits tighter than that. My doors do have some gap on the rear side when fully closed and I believe that to be normal. All that being said, it wouldn't be hard to correct the external problems noted.

Hey troopers, give the owner some credit. They did not put dual exhausts and fat tires on it.

Really Dale, I thought it was a pretty neat car, and if I hadn't been a VCCA member , with a 1928 Chevrolet and a huge interest in them, I would probably have thought it was a 100% correct restoration. I think someone went to a lot of work and expense to restore it, and they have a right to be very proud of their job.

They probably didn't take time to do everything to make the pics right, like clean the lense and close the deck and door probably a more natural and honest picture than a con artist or someone trying to fool you with a good posed picture would come up with.

I am proud of my old beat up 28 sedan even tho it is a long ways from being restored and I enjoy driveing it and listening to the knocks, whines, clucks and tapping!

Well Donald, I will have you know that We don't have chuck holes in Texas we call them pot holes! And I have driven it in a couple of other states. But since I don't rate a Genuine 1932 radio I hear a lot more of the noise! chevy bigl
