I sure found alot of info on where to get parts, color schemes, etc from vcca members. My question is after all i have been reseaching , is "how or where do i find out what the 28 car exactly looked like off of the assembly line"?does it matter that its not exactly how it was built when I improve the restoration. As long as I use a piticular item or part was used on the 28-national 2-doors,would it still be considered restored to original?would it hurt the value??You know what they say some times"if l@@ks good do it" but if it is altered is it still worth it as originally was earlier. :(
isn't 28 great

I think that if an item was original from the manufactor within the time frame your car was built it is considered orignal. From the paint data sheets you may notice that there is a paint sheme for early and one for late 1928 models, I think as long as it is a 1928 model year scheme for your body style, it will not be a cause for point deductions, That is IMHO. :p

MrMack, I think that 28chevrolet said in an earilier posting that his vehicle was a two door sedan or Coach model as it was called originally ( 5 passengers, 2 front, 3 rear). For 1928, the Coach model had only one paint scheme the entire year. The basic body color was Avenue Green, Black fenders and Splash aprons, and Dunsmuir Gray Wheels. The sedan delivery is another model where the color scheme did not change during the model year for 1928. The remainder of the model line up had color scheme changers during the year as you stated.
