I have tried the gage bleed, no luck. I disconnected the gage line and received no oil from the pump. I then use a small squeeze bottle of oil and push down on the regulator valve and insert a little oil and restart. OP then comes up quickly. I will try the overfill method. I have not had this problem untill about two hundred miles after a complete rebuild. I have driven this car since I was eleven. (1954) This is a new problem
