I may not be able to help much, but, I will try. wiper motors, I looked for several months, results, the 28 wiper motors that can be rebuilt to working condition are almost extent. Several folks have non-working models mounted. They use rainX , it works well, I just got back from a weekend where it rained out the parade we were entered in (Tyler Tx.'s Rose Parade) and my windshield with rainx was fine, without a wiper. I bought a model "A" F**D wiper motor and mounted it with a new Chevy arm and blade It has a slide switch on the motor, it barely moves, but l@@ks g@@d! As for paint schemes, I have a zerox copy "Oldie" here sent me and I will see if I can get a decent copy ( the print and line drawings are so fine they don't scan well enough to email.) Now about Info. Herb Jackson in California is a good source, he does web sites for Gary Wallace a Saint Louis Mo. dealer in 1928 parts. Ray Holland "Antique Radio Mechanic" will help IF you are NOT going to rod your '28. *****Edited: Ray Holland goes by the handle Antique Mechanic, I think of him as a Radio mechanic, which he also is, sorry Raymundo!
"Chevy Chip" a National Board of Directors member. and many others that I haven't mentioned. Go to our 1912-1928forum Where you made your post, and look up the Topics that are listed and spend some time visiting, mostly serious advice, but there is also some humor involved here. This is the best site for Chevys of the teens, twentys all the way up to 1978 Chevys on the WWW. and our National club VCCA is the recognized leader far and wide for Vintage Chevys, Join VCCA and also join a VCCA Region, the local club, that is where the social and family fellowship starts! We will be watching for you, and.......... Congratulations for being a new owner of A Roaring Four!

Hi Paul, Welcome to VCCAChat, if you want to look up the original color schedules try clicking on www.autocolorlibrary.com . I also have a page of modern replacement matches at www.cybersurfers.net/~herb/paint28R.htm For Parts and Services, including Gary Wallace, I have a listing on my transmission website at www.cybersurfers.net/~herb/sources.htm . There's a lot of guys that watch this forum everyday who are more than willing to help, Regards, Herb

Paul, I almost forgot, The man that has the VCCA 2001 Anniversity meet in Springfield Il. 1st place 1928 Chevrolet lives in Illinois. Wally Deck, lives in Ridge Farm Il. I have talked to him on the phone, he has some 1928 parts. I talked to him because I was looking at a 1928 Sedan that was for sale in his home town and he was a friend to the former owner that died and left the car to his grandson, yes I bought the car. Another thing I would suggest, Make every Auto Swap meet that you can, both local meets, and nationally advertised swap meets, they are a good source for parts, literature and just plain visiting about old cars.
