The cowl of my 1920 490 touring has no, (at least not now) device to hold the center hood rod in place. I have the remnant of what looks like tack welded sheet metal on one side of the slot. Was this just a loop of sheet metal to catch the rod ? bigl Thanks for the input. If possible could someone take a picture or give a description.

Hi Ray
The pictures say it all. I'm missing the little loop on the firewall side. Looks like no problem to make a new one. Thanks for helping me out.
