Can anyone please give me the definitive spark plug firing order for a 1928 AB National. My friend's 27 seems to be different.

1927 and 1928 should be the same. Firing Order 1-2-4-3.

Thanks,

Which position on the distributor is cyl #1?

I assume it is bottom right, looking from above.

Well, when the engine is in time and the valves are both closed and the timing mark is showing in the timeing window Take the distributor cap off and look in the distributor and the position nearest the rotor is number one plug ,then loosen the distributor clamp and turn the distributer a small amount to fine tune. That is how we do it in Texas, check with JYD as how they do it on the left coast.
