I guess I could have placed this in the "Parts Wanted" forum but I really would like to know if a vendor sells these decals?
I have seen them on engines on ebay and other places but haven't seen them on any on-line catalog. Anyone know where they are available? also a stoplamp switch for a 28?

Thanks, Arvid, I don't have a printed catalog yet, and I didn't find any on the online catalog, Gary e-mailed an update before going on his vacation but I couldn't read anything but the first page. I will call in a week or two.

Hi Mr Mack,
I as one moderator don't see a need to move this topic, actually I want a set of decals myself. I'll simply enhance your question by asking, when I get them where do I put them ? From my repair manual the oil filter decal goes to the front unless you put it at the back.
The Air Filter decal goes right where you can see it unless you mount the filter so you cannot see it. I'll follow up with Gary and see to it that the decals are added to the on line catalog if they are available.
For the stoplight switch as Chris Cufr suggested in an adjoining topic for the interim you might use a Model A (Ooops ) Switch as shown in Snyders Catalog on page A-44. it's in the Sources Section of my Website www.cybersurfers.net/~herb/sources.htm

Try Clicking on the above now. I don't know what went wrong the first time.

Ok Herb, thanks. The pics I have seen is of a small round AC decal that is seen from the passanger side in the center of the aircleaner and oil filters, I have a 1951 stoplamp switch I think I can rig to work. Gary emailed an update for the catalog but my M.S. Word didn't work very well, just got the first page and a lot of gibberish Square characters, pages full.
I was going to wait till after the 15th (when Gary gets back) to order.

I also just noticed that the Filling Station carries switches for 42-50 and 51-54 which are mechanical type switches that could probably be adapted. See
www.fillingstation.com Page 136.

Oh, I just rembered when Gary has E-mailed me updates they are in Excel ( ie MS Works ), you might try that.

Herb, thanks for the info. How's the project car comming along? Kurt Reynolds, our asst. director made a visit to Tom's place and had a great time looking at the collection. He also bought one of the overdrive units for his 27 Landau and is in the process of installing it now. I look fwd to seeing how it works out.

Hi Kirk,
The 28 is running good, I still have to clean the scale out of the Gano Filter regularly or it starts running hot. With the 189 cu in engine and OD I can hold 70 on level ground but I'd feel safer in a go cart !! I just had my two 28 Blocks cooked and hot blasted but that's going to take a while. I'm also just finishing a 28 Head with small block V8 Valves and cleaned out ports which should help the Vintage Weber Cam a little.
I recieved a question from Curt Reynolds this weekend and told him how to get the OD Instructions at www.cybersurfers.net/~herb/overdrive.htm
and told him who shortened my driveshaft.

Also Gary W says he does have the decals, I'll pass the information on as soon as I get it.

Gary, glad to hear that Kurt got the info from you on the OD and hope his works as well as the one you have installed. Thanks again for the I & I web info will stay in touch.
