Any ideas on how to remove the play from the steering arm (pittman??) on a 28. From observation, I somehow need to move the gear deeper into the worm. Bush is not worn and is central in casing and new bearings fitted. Thanks........

I have make new bushings 0,3-0,4 mm out of senter, place them in the housing, and then reaming them tight to the shaft. I have done this on four - 4 cyl. car I have restored, and with very good result.Place the big gear so you don't have play when you driving straight on.
