Do the differentials in the 1920 490's share the same internal gears as a model T Ford. My pinion gear has the Ford script on it.

It is my understanding that some OEM Gearmakers provided the 490 and Model T Ring and Pinion Sets under the same part number. Snyder Automotive stocks standard 3.63:1 and high speed 3:1 sets at around $150. You can click on their website from my Sources page www.cybersurfers.net/~herb/sources.htm Their free catalog has many Model T and A parts common to 4 cyl Chevrolet Herb

I had to buy a new ring gear and pinion in 2003 from Snyder. I also got a used standard ratio set. Both fit my 1916, and I think up to, incl. 1922. Anyone knowing for certain which other Ford parts that can be used without any problems in our 490's?
