Mark it on your calendar and plan to attend! The dates are June 15-19, 2004, held at the Quality Inn & Suites - Iowa City, IA. Easy to get to, right on I-80. Plans are progessing great, watch the G&D for info. Hope to see a lot of you there!

Tim: We are brand new to Vintage Chevy with our membership ap sitting on the table here. Have recently acquired a 1932 RS Coupe and most interested in the touring aspect of belonging to a club. Reading some of the pages here it sounds like it is difficult to join in unless you have been on previous tours as 50 cars seems the max. We don't have that problem with Packards (grin). We are from Indianola, Ia.

Russ,
Sorry for the delay in responding, been away from chat for a few weeks. The Middle West Meet is a 4-day meet that is headquartered in one spot and activities revolve around that area. Activities are: swap meet, hospitality night, family dinner, short tour day, and VCCA judging. This is different than the "tours" you mentioned. I know there is a great following in the tours and they do fill up fast.
We would love to see you come to the Middle West Meet. For more information, visit:

EXSSFUN, If I came for a day, which day would be best to see the most cars and then the second best day? We hope to make it but my '31 won't be ready for some time yet. We'll just spend a day visiting and looking. Thanks. My wife just looked over my shoulder and said we should go to Perry, Ia. Wednesday where her Dad came from and then to the car show Thursday. Sounds OK to me. Hope to meet some people from this chat line there. Jerrygolf

Jerry, I am taking the liberty of answering this question as EXESSFUN (Tim) dosen't log on too often and the time is fast approaching.

Thursday would be the best day to visit. Its judging day and all cars will be assembleld in one place. That means all will be out of the trailers etc. ...

Wednesday would be the next best choice as there are no activities such as tours. All cars may not be present and or still in their
trialers or parked aroung the motel grounds etc..The Mid West group if pretty hardy and there arn't too many that just come out of the trailer to be judged.

Friday is the tour day and completely N.G.

Would sure recommend Thursday---not sure as to who on this site are attending but there should be a few.........

Sure wish I could attend but just can't manage to and then get back home to get the 4 banger to make Cody in time. Besides with the 2006 tour committee meeting just after the Cody tour makes two+ weeks away.

This year going to the Central Meet. Being held in Midland, MI where we lived 9 years and by the LMR which we have been members for 35 years.
