If interested in going. I suggest haste as there were over 40 already signed up last time I knew. The limit is 50.

...Well , to me , Pittsburg, Ks. looks to be about 30 or 35 miles North of the Ks. - Ok. line and about 4 or 5 miles West of the Ks. - Mo. line.. I don't know if it has a Walmart or McDonalds, but It does have a Holliday Inn Express!

I guess spelling the name right makes a difference to Map Quest.

Total Est. Distance: 1201.47 miles for me...may be too far right now...

...Come on Gator....Pulling that new trailer will be just like rockin' in your rockin' chair!

Make a three day trip out of it and let us know you are there and we will help unload your car...

I TRIED EMAILING BILL BRADFORD. NO ANSWER. HOW DO YOU FIND OUT ABOUT THE TOURS BEFORE THEY FILL UP?

Gator, Maybe..... :) is a good sign.....

Huffneff, I don't know if this will work for you...But, what I do is send in the registration fee and if the check is cashed I figure We are in.
I don't (IMHO) think it is a good thing that the tours fill up 3 or 4 months before the start of the tour, but the problem is that the touring committee must have money in hand in order to get firm commitments from the hotels, etc., etc. for 100 or more participants.

Southern Spring Tour
Pittsburg has a Walmart and they even have a hugh new "The Home Depot", biggest one I have ever see. And yes there is a McDonald's.
The motels have running water and a bathroom in every room.

Cordman, I gather from your post that the Southern Spring Tour has already filled up?
These Southern Tours have really been fun and a pleasure for us, I think that others must feel the same way that we do. Are you sure about the running water bathrooms right in the motel rooms? probably also have electric lights and TV too!

I understand that 69 cars are registered. And an additional waiting list that will not be able to attend. Should be over 120 people.

Yes, the SST is filled to the brim (63 old Chevys and 123 old Chevy nuts). There is a waiting list which has grown to 5 so far. Past experience shows that some on the waiting list will get a space. Also of note, we have 6 or 7 who have never attended a VCCA tour!
The bottom line is that we need more tours to accommodate all the folks who want to come. Why not start a new VCCA tour in your area? It's not that difficult and it's a lot of fun. Just ask Clay and Roy who started the new "Southern Fall Tour" last October. By the way, you can sign up for that tour right now. It will take place in Ft. Smith AR in October.

Keep on tourin!
