Hopefully this fits in this forum- I am curious if anyone knows about the engine plant designations that are stamped on the machined pad along with the assembly date and suffix code. I was referencing The Lime Book, which only has V-8 information, and it shows that the plant designation for the Flint engine factory changed from 'F' to 'V'. 'F' was used from 1955 to 1966 and 'V' began being used on 1967 and up. Did this only apply to V-8's or were the six cylinders also changed? I've also seen it referred to F- Flint (Motor) and V-Flint (Engine). Was the 'V' an addition or new assembly line just for V-8's and the sixes kept the 'F'? Curious what anyone knows or has documented about this.
Thanks!
