Here is a place to honor inventive ways of using something for a purpose it was never intended. Tell us the story!
My contribution to this discussion is pictured below. I took the photo in San Leandro High School's Auto Shop. The teacher (Andy) is working on an Army truck whose top half burned up in a wild fire.
He got the engine running and three of the wheels turning up on jack stands, but one of the rear wheels was frozen. He wanted to drive the truck around the parking lot, so he used a cheap furniture dolly under the errant wheel and it worked!!
Hats off to Andy!

VCCA members have access to a list of over 50 Technical Advisors who can help you with your car. It's worth the price of membership! While you can get a lot of information for free in this forum, sometimes the info that you REALLY need is only available from the right person. This is what "The World's Best Chevrolet Club" is all about!
Going through old parts in the garage and made a lamp, carb had a crack in the bowl so there was no fixing it.
I have found that having an old car is a constant project that is never done. I think that is a good thing. Keeps me learning new things. Having two from different eras is just a form of higher education.
