Don't know if I've asked this question before but has anyone ever restored the inside visors for 33-35"s? I did it many years ago but am not sure how I did it.

Jon,
My memory says that 1933 visors are grained, embossed cardboard. 1935 visors are smooth masonite with wrinkle paint. I don't know about 1934.

M 35 Master Visors are smooth masonite with wrinkle paint but my 35 Standards are not. There is some question to weather they are correct but I think they used both on 35 Standards. 34 are the same as 33's.

Attached is a picture of the lefthand visor on my 34 Master that I believe to be original. Mike

You are correct Mike, now how do I duplicate that pattern?

I think that is also a 1933 visor. I think I have one somewhere.

I wanted to duplicate 41-48 heater knobs that weren’t available. I saw this video by Aluminite and tried it with very good success.

Using the same process, I would think you could make a mold from a visor that still has good detail, cast replica visors from resin, and either paint or color the resin as required.

Here are a couple pictures of the knobs that I cast. The detail surprised me. I used nothing more than a Dixie cup for a mold container.

I'm not wanting to make new Visors. I have many of them. I just need to recreate the pattern on them and then paint them. I think what I did before was make a mold and then paint the Visors with Primer. Before the Primer dried I ''stamped'' the Visor with the mold I made. But when I try it now the primer sticks to the mold and does not look right.

The following info is what I believe to be accurate, from what I have learned in the past 50 years.
The embossed ones are '33/'34. The plain flat ones with 4 square(ish) corners are 1935 Master and Standard. The smaller plain flat with 2 round corners are '36 Standard, maybe Master too. I don't know.

The 1936 Master visor is cloth covered.

Thanks Mike, you are 98% correct. The 35 Genuine Accessory Broc. shows both embossed and plain flat for 35 Standard. And of course Gene is right as always!

Now that I've beat that horse to death I still haven't figured how to get the embossed pattern on the 33-34 Visor?

Find someone with a programmable router that can cut the pattern. Then have a program duplicating it. Or you can do it by hand?
