I inherited a couple of 1940 Chevy project cars and a lot of parts including NOS. What is the best way to sell?

You can list the cars and parts in the appropriate forums in the Swap Meet area. Be sure to put prices on them. The "best" way?? I don't know if that question has a one size fits all answer. Ebay? Hemmings? Register at a lot of forums and list them there? Area swap meets? All of the above? None of the above? I'll move this to the General Discussion forum.

While the internet makes it easier to sell parts and project cars, there is still work. Plan to post pictures and details as well as an asking price for each item.

The first thing needed is to determine the reason and objectives for selling. Do you want to sell all quickly or willing to invest time and effort to get the most dollars ? Maybe you would just like them go to a good home where they will be preserved and enjoyed as there is sentimental value attached.

If you have a facebook account, or someone in your family does... Facebook marketplace has a very active cars & auto parts selling section... it is actually out selling craigslist now... I would suggest trying both marketplace and craigslist... with lots of photos on both ads....

Hello Robbgordo,

So the Central Arizona Region (CAR) of the VCCA hosts a swap meet twice a year at the North parking lot of Glendale Community College. This would be a good place to find a new home for the project cars you would like to let go. The next one is on March 9th and 10th. This is the 50th year for this event. It has a car corral, and 300 + stalls. Contact Dean Echols at deanechols38@gmail.com for more information, or there will be stalls available by coming to the event on move in day Friday March 8th.

Bring one or two of the project cars, a couple of folding tables for some parts, take a bunch of pictures and make up a sandwich board with those pictures on it.

Some help may be available to get one of the vehicles to the event. I am just over in Tempe if you need some help with pricing.
