When an AC 9803 dual action fuel pump was installed by the dealer, was the Windshield Wiper Pipe Connector (Silencer) #3692459 used? Or was it removed and replaced by another type of fitting?

Thanks Gene. Does this vacuum connection go in front of the carburetor or behind it?

So I am still learning. What is a Windshield Wiper Pipe Connector (Silencer)?

Hi Rusty

It's a fitting/silencer screwed into the intake manifold to supply vacuum to the wipers.

So is it really just a right angle pipe thread to hose nipple fitting? Or is there some perceived function due to the large round portion of the connector?

I've never examined one myself, but I've read that they were baffled inside like a muffler.

Apparently to silence the flow of air??

Gene will know more than me...
