Can anyone give me information on the radiant heat defroster used on the 1932 Chev.. I would like to put it up for sale, but need to properly identify it first.

About all there is to go on would be a photo from an accessory book/brochure/list. That is, if such a thing exists for 1932. There were several manufacturers of those defrosters and Chevrolet purchased them from one or more of them I used the pictures in the 1935 Accessory catalog to identify the correct defroster for my Chevy. I believe it was made by Casco. It has 3 heating wires and 4 rivets down each side. These are on eBay pretty often, sometimes new in the box. I don't think they bring much and many of them go unsold. If yours is a legitimate authorized Chevy accessory, It should find an eager buyer. If it matches the description I gave above, that buyer could be me.

I should add that, unfortunately, not many of us are goofy enough to be interested in the accessories that don't provide some Bling to our cars. I like the quirky stuff like a correct governor for my 1936 truck. It also wears a rather scarce tow ring on the back. These items are shown in the accessory section of the 1936 Chevrolet Gold Book Of Truck Value. I am looking for the parts to complete my radiator fan shroud, as illustrated in the same publication. Chevrolet actually offered an engine oil cooler as a truck accessory in 1936.
