Looks like an aftermarket bracket of some kind. I'm no 1933 expert by any means but that doesn't look like 1933 manufacturing technology to me. Is your pickup stock or hotrodded?

Thanks for rapid reply! Not a hotrod, but this is a Frankenstein truck that is mostly 33 (cab, bed frame, etc) with a 30 engine. The front fenders include the left one with a homemade spare tire slot. The car was missing a right rear fender. I am looking primarily to get it on the road by Spring so I can drive it around locally as a "daily driver" - to Farm Supply and Harbor Freight and the local hardware store...
I don't have a '33 pickup but do have a '32 that is basically the same. Drive train, radiator & shell, hood, instruments are most of the differences. The cabs and beds are nearly 100% identical. I don't know where those parts might fit. Reproduction rear fenders are listed on ebay and maybe other places.
I don't have a clue on where that part might fit. My first thought was part of the support for the front fenders but the bends don't look right.
