Looking for a 1933-1936 steering shaft, just the shaft. The back of my steering wheel has a .748" opening (see attached picture). It doesn't even have to have a good worm gear, I mostly need it for the tapered end the steering wheel fits on. Feel free to e-mail me at: lahti35@yahoo.com if you have one. I probably have a chunk of shaft with the taper. How long would you like it to be?

I thought I had a standard steering wheel but maybe it's a master? I measured the bottom of the taper at the hub and got .748".

I may be all set, a member has one for sure I'm just waiting on payment info...

I'm working on a late 30's lakester go job using period parts. The kind you would have seen on the dry lakes using inline engines and open fenders, no postwar or modern hot rod stuff. The chevy steering wheel came from ebay and I liked it as it was pretty slim instead of being chunky...
