On a 1942-52 dual action fuel pump, there are 2 ports for the vacuum lines to go to the wiper motor and the intake manifold. Which port is which or does it matter? ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/FH74kN0/1942-52-Chevy-fuel-pump-3.jpg)

Should be able to blow thru from B to A . A to manifold B to wiper. Blow thru with air hose to open stuck (maybe) discs. Those 4 drilled holes facing you should be closed. They access the crankcase thru the lever mounting hole. Nice photo.

Thanks wannachev for the information. This is a photo of the pump I purchased on e-bay. Bad news: the seller did not know what this pump was really for. It fits 1953 and newer-NOT 42-52 engines. Good news: the rebuilder noticed this error and is trading me the correct pump for this one. Now for the EDUCATIONAL PORTION of this post: from 1952 and OLDER, the fuel line is at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock (straight across). This one was at 8 o'clock and 2 o'clock.
