All the repop skirts I found in the 20 years I looked are lap skirts. I don't know of anyone repopping OEM style skirts. To the uneducated eye they serve the purpose. I ran them for many years. Attached is the a picture of the aftermarket lap skirts I ran. I still have them but modified the fastening system they came with and actually don't run them now because of the difficulty they present when trying to check tire pressure for this old man trying to find the valve stem. When I pass I'll let my son make the decision whether to keep using them, put on the OEM skirts I finally managed to buy or continue to run the car without. If you choose to go the repop route they will not fit inside the opening like OEM skirts do and will require some fitting. If anyone ever decides to make OEM style skirts they'll sell a lot of them.

The ones I speak of are OEM style, not overlay skirts. They are flush mount, attach like the OEM and have the trim.

Who's making them? Can you provide a link. I looked a LONG time and never found a supplier of OEM style. It will be nice if someone is doing it now.

If it's the same person that made the reproduction 39s then yes they look good but for what he wants not worth it in my opinion.

Do you have a link? How much is he asking for the skirts?

Not many Chevrolet in the thirty and forties looked better with fender skirts. Just my opinion. I know that the 41s looked better with the rear fender well open so that the chrome rims and discs (40 sharkteeth or 41 accessory) can be seen. dance

I have a perfect for my 41 cabriolet but don't intend on mounting them, ever. They will just go with the car after I'm gone. bananadead

This guy is making 37/38 fender skirts, they mount like the originals.

Cool. If they fit like OEM skirts and he prices them right he'll sell all he can make. I don't see the molding slots. Is he also making them?

Not sure what he is doing for the trim. There was another guy who reproduced the trim. They mounted with small studs and screws. When mounted on the skirts, they looked great.

That's pretty steep for repop although OEM skirts will cost you more. I've thought about taking my OEM skirts to a local fabricator to see if he can/would fabricate faithful reproduction skirts I could sell. I haven't done so because I didn't think I could sell them for enough to make any money. If people are willing to pay $2500 for repops I might have to rethink that.
